Kingsland's opening volleyball match of the season at Stewartville last week resulted in a 0-3 loss to the No. 2 rated team in the state (Class AA) 10-25, 9-25, 21-25.
Brianna Musel takes care of the volleyball for the Knights in the opening contest of the season at Stewartville.

Statistically, the Lady Knights only had 29 serve opportunities, converting 25 of them (86.2%): Cheyenne Losey 4/4, Jessi Kaster 7/8, Lizzie Tart 5/6, Mikaylah Hellickson 2/2, Brianna Musel 4/4 and Haley Colton 3/5. Ace serves were delivered by Kaster and Tart.
As a team, Kingsland only had four kills, three by Kaster and one by Musel, hitting -0.083 (4 kills, 8 errors, 48 attacks). At the net, Losey had one block, Kaster had two and Marissa Bornholdt had one.
Kaster also led the team in digs with 10 and was 11/20 in serve receives. Tart was second in digs with seven.
As a team, Kingsland was 30/58 in serve receives. Leading the way were Cheyenne Losey (6/8), Rialie Fenske (5/7) and Brianna Musel (3/6).
The Kingsland B squad also lost its match.
