Last week the Kingsland volleyball team lost a pair of Three Rivers Conference matches to Wabasha-Kellogg (1-3) and St. Charles (1-3), both going four sets.

Game (set) scores against the Falcons were 25-27, 25-19, 17-25 and 21-25. Scores vs. the Saints were 25-22, 15-25, 22-25, and 23-25. The gals are 0-4 in Three Rivers Conference play.

Against W-K, the gals did a good job of serving (79/84) and serve receiving (72/83). Leading the way in serving were Brianna Musel (12/12), Taylor Link (6/6), Gina Blanchard (1/1), Rialie Fenske (10/11), Hannah Pruter (16/17), Haley Colton (12/13), Kailynn Hamersma (16/17) and Reann Kimbal (6/7). Hamersma and Musel each had two ace serves.

In serve receive, the team was led by Fenske (26/27), Link (6/7), Blanchard (4/5), Colton (17/23) and Musel (19/21).

Colton had six kills and hit .400 against the Falcons. Musel also had six kills. Ace block leaders were Link and Hamersma, each with two. Pruter had 19 of the team's 21 set assists.

Dig leaders were Fenske (15), Colton (11), Musel (11), Pruter (9), Link (8) and Blanchard (8).

In the Southland Tournament, held this past weekend, the gals got wins over Lyle/Pacelli (1-1, 26-28, 25-16) and Schaeffer Academy (2-0, 25-8, 25-20) and suffered losses to Medford (0-2, 13-25, 11-25) and Southland (1-2, 23-25, 25-21, 6-15). No other details, or scores, were available from the Rebel Tournament.

Monday night the gals traveled to LeRoy-Ostrander for a non-conference contest and Thursday night they are in Rushford-Peterson. They return home next Tuesday to face conference leader Fillmore Central, which is undefeated in conference action.
