The GMLOK youth Bulldog wrestlers took first place in the K-6 Cobra Collision Team Duels tournament this past Saturday in Dodge Center.

The boys did a fantastic job and were strong at all weight classes. The Bulldogs had a bye the first round and then blew through their competition.

The Dawgs took on Blooming Prairie first and won 50-21. Next up was Hayfield, with the Dawgs winning 55-19. Pine Island was their closest competition but it wasn't enough, for the Dawgs won 51-36. They stayed strong during their final round against Triton, winning 61-15, securing their first place finish.

Each and everyone of these kids wrestled hard, said Bill Winfield, one of the coaches. The team is very well rounded and showed their aggressiveness on the mat.

The GMLOK Lil' Dawgs will wrestle again Sunday, Jan. 20, in Hayfield.
