AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO HISTORICAL PRESERVATION; DESIGNATING THE FORMER

HIGH SCHOOL AND ADJACENT POTTER AUDITORIUM NOW KNOWN AS THE CHATFIELD CENTER

FOR THE ARTS, TO BE A CHATFIELD HERITAGE LANDMARK.



THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF CHATFIELD DO ORDAIN:

Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Chatfield, Minnesota,

having received a recommendation from the Chatfield Heritage Preservation

Commission, and following the procedures described in Section 107-5 of the

Chatfield Code, hereby finds that the buildings formerly known as the old

high school and the adjacent Potter Auditorium, which are now known as the

Chatfield Center for the Arts, and which are located on Block 19 of the

Original Plat of the Town (now City) of Chatfield, meet the criteria set

forth in Section 107-5(a) of the Chatfield Code, and should be hereinafter

be designated as a Chatfield Heritage Landmark.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective 30 days following its

publication.

Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Chatfield this

22nd day of October, 2012.
