Chatfield High School is proud to announce that commencement ceremonies will be held for its graduating seniors on Sunday, June 1, in the Chatfield High School gymnasium, and yes, those future graduates certainly already know they have to take the stairs, as their class motto states.

The Chatfield High School Class of 2014, whose class colors are maroon and white and class flower is the forget-me-not, includes Brandon Adler, Miles Ahern, Hannah Armstrong, Ashley Baker, Mckenzie Beck, Grant Benson, Tye Bentz, Derek Bethel, Cody Bly, Gabrielle Bouska, Mikaela Bray, Nickolas Buenger, Matthew Dietz, Alexandra Duxbury, Zachary Eggers, Emily Ferguson, Kassidy Fong, Harvey Friederichs, Justin Friederich, Katie Gartner, Claudia Goldsmith, Noah Grant, Alexander Haffner, Jennifer Hanson, Marissa Hanson, Timothy Hawkins, Morgan Henry, Jesus Hernandez, Nicole Herrli, Hunter Howlett, Sidney Irish, Jacob Janet, Riley Kahrhoff, Hunter Kennedy, Tanner Kester, Jayme LaPlante, Alex Lien, Michael Mabe, Kaytlin Martin, Krystal Martin, Mitchell Meeker, Ashley Miller, Alan Mouchet, Jacob Neis, Zachary Nelson, Jayton Nisbit, Jessi Nisbit, Danielle Norton, Hannah Oelke, Abby Olson, Mariah Pederson, Cali Prelipp, Sawyer Prinsen, Camille Rasmussen, Anthony Riley, Gabrielle Salisbury, Dalton Schwier, Nathan Skare, Rachel Thompson, Jenna Vondal, Danika Wilde and Hailey Winslow.

Highest honors students - who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher - this year are Hannah Armstrong, Gabrielle Bouska, Mikaela Bray, Alexandra Duxbury, Emily Ferguson, Justin Friedrich, Alexander Haffner, Morgan Henry, Nicole Herrli, Alex Lien, Danielle Norton, Abby Olson, Mariah Pederson, Camille Rasmussen and Nathan Skare.

Speakers for the commencement ceremony include class president Danielle Norton, Chatfield Superintendent Edward Harris, coach Tom Idstrom and Chatfield High School Principal Randy Paulson. Senior class secretary Alex Duxbury will be honoring the class of 1979 and Mikaela Bray and Mariah Pederson will be addressing honor students.

The Chatfield High School band will perform under the direction of Katy Jablonski, and the Chatfield High School choirs will perform under the direction of Barbara Ahl.

Having climbed the stairs to high school success, the Chatfield High School Class of 2014 will mark its commencement exercises this Sunday, June 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Chatfield High School, 205 Union Street Northeast, in Chatfield.
