Medical Clinic to host health fair
Tuesday, December 31, 2013 2:28 AM
Help Our Neighbors and Olmsted Medical Clinic will again host the community health fair on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chatfield. Help Our Neighbors is seeking any individuals, businesses or organizations that may be interested in exhibiting at the fair. There is no cost to exhibit at the fair and admission is free.
The fair will again offer cholesterol testing and fasting 8 to 12 hours before the screening is recommended for best results. There will also be an opportunity for weight, height, body fat and blood pressure checks. Information will be available on nutrition and weight loss, diabetes education, breast health, falls prevention, health care at home, social services and tobacco cessation. There will also be a children's booth, vendors, door prizes, lunch available and many giveaways.
The fair is for all ages and a great way to start the day of Chill Fest activities. Come and spend some time learning how one can be healthier in 2014 and learn of all the resources Chatfield has to offer. Vendors are being scheduled and space is limited.
Contact Sue A. Awes with questions, information or to sign-up for a booth at (507) 251-0520.
