Members of the Chatfield Lions Club invite all senior citizens and

former residents of the Chosen Valley School District, 70 years of age or

older, and their spouses, to attend the Annual Senior Citizen Christmas

Dinner. The dinner will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Chosen

Valley Elementary School in Chatfield. The menu includes turkey, dressing,

potatoes, vegetables, cranberries and dessert.

Christmas carols will be sung after the meal and attendance prizes will

be awarded. Members of the Chatfield Ambulance Department will be present

to do blood pressure checks. Also, the Chatfield Lions will be accepting

any unwanted eyeglasses and hearing aids that anyone wishes to bring with

them for donation.

There is no charge for this dinner and no RSVP is necessary. If any

person is in need of a ride to the dinner, contact the Root River State Bank

at 507-867-4120 prior to Dec. 15. Lions Club President Cheryl Jankiewicz

encourages all local senior citizens to attend this holiday event, which is

being provided as a "thank you" to our senior citizens for their past

support of, and contributions to, our community.
