Potter Auditorium is the place to be on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m., as

over 70 musicians from the Chatfield area join forces to present "Songs of

the Seasons". This Chatfield community concert will feature holiday

favorites performed by seven vocal and instrumental groups. The CBB Jazz

Combo will entertain the audience before the concert with Christmas jazz

selections. The concert is free and open to the public. Following the

concert, the Chatfield Commercial Club will serve supper consisting of a

pork sandwich, chips, pickle, dessert, and beverage in the Legion room.

The 30-voice Chatfield Community Choir, accompanied by RuthAnn Lund,

will open the concert. The choir is directed by Ms. Barb Ahl, Chatfield High

School choir director, and Carmen Narveson, elementary music teacher. Their

selections will include "Fum, Fum, Fum", "Christmas Lullaby", and "Let it

Snow". Other groups performing will be the CHS Men's Ensemble singing

"Down, Down the Chimney", the CHS Women's Ensemble performing "Santa Baby",

the Festive Flautists - a nine- piece flute choir; and the Yuletide Jazz

Trio - with Robin Loewen on piano, Tiffany Strande on violin, and Don

Hainlen playing bass. Closing the concert will be the Chatfield Brass Band,

under the direction of Narveson. The band will play holiday selections

including "Greensleeves" by Alfred Reed, "Horse and Bugg" by Leroy Anderson,

and "Christmas March" by Edwin Franko Goldman.
