This past season, the Chatfield volleyball team had another very

successful season, finishing fourth (7-3; 23-14 in sets) in the always

'tough' Three Rivers Conference, 19-9 (53-33 in sets) during the regular

season, and 21-10 (59-37), overall. The gals went 2-1 in the sub-section

playoffs, losing to state runner-up Caledonia in the sub-section finals.

Finishing their high school volleyball careers were seniors Kileigh

Dudek, Bailey Hilgren, Haley Kohlmeyer and MaKenzie Miller. While the team

is losing four quality seniors, the 'cupboard is not bare' for head coach

Troy Swancutt. Underclassmen dominated the Lady Gopher's squad; juniors

Gabrielle Salisbury, Alex Duxbury, and Camille Rasmussen, sophomores Kirsten

Keefe, Maddie Talamantes, Maddy Kammer and Brook Irish, and freshmen

Sheridan Salisbury and Brooke Adler. There will also be many varsity

candidates from a B squad that finished 7-3 in the TRC matches.

Statistically, the Chatfield team and its players did very well in the

'final stats' reports....
