Senior Mitch Irish finished his high school career with a double-double,

12 points and 10 rebounds, as the Gophers lost to Winona Cotter in the

sub-section quarter-finals, 43-39.

"We played great the last eight minutes or so," said Coach Tom Bance.

"Unfortunately the first 28 were not good at all,", he added. Chatfield

tied the game with 50 seconds left, but the Ramblers finished off the game

with a bucket and a pair of free throws to take the four point win and a

berth in the semi's.

Mitch Irish did his part with 12 points and 10 rebounds, as did Jayme

LaPlante, 11 points and five rebounds. Senior Luke Isensee ended his h.s.

career with five points and a pair of steals.

"Tough way to end the season, added Bance, after playing so well this

last month." Jake Neis had six assists and senior Reid Danielson had three points, three assists and four rebounds in his career finale.

Chatfield finished the season with a 15-11 record, 14-6 in the Three
