Monday night the boys started the week with a 68-36 win over

Wabasha-Kellogg and ended the week with a 61-42 win over Dover-Eyota.

Sandwiched in between those two victories was a 'sweet win' over Southland,

81-68.

In the win over the Falcons, three Gopher players were in

double-figures; Luke Isensee (10), Christian Bance (14) and Nate Skare (17).

Isensee also had six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Jayme LaPlante

had a fine game, contributing eight points and five rebounds. Reid Danielson

chipped in three points, three rebounds, two steals and a team high five

assists. Bance was 4/6 from three-point range.

In the win over Southland, several players made "WEB's Honor Roll",

including Jayme LaPlante (9 steals), Reid Danielson (7 assists), Nate Skare

(19 points/10 rebounds, 4/9 in 3's) and Jake Neis (7 assists). "We played

our best game of the season probably," said Coach Tom Bance. "We led from

start to finish. We were up by as many as 19 and they cut the lead to eight

later in the game, but we kept our composure and got the win."

In addition to Skare's 19 points, LaPlante and Mitch Irish each had 16

and Neis added 11. Danielson (7), Isensee (2), Bance (6) and Brandon Adler

(4) also got into the scorebook in the 'team win.' Junior Jayme LaPlante

also had nine rebounds, playing a very important role in the 'middle' of the

Chatfield offense.

Eleven different players got into the scoring against Dover-Eyota last

Friday night, led by Nate Skare's 14 and Jayme LaPlante's 11. LaPlante had

another good 'board' night, pulling down a team high nine rebounds. Jake

Neis had a very fine floor game, scoring seven points and adding three

rebounds, two steals and dishing out eight assists. Reid Danielson had four

assists, four steals, two rebounds and two points. Mitch Irish pulled down

six rebounds and Nate Skare had three rebounds, three steals and three

assists. A very good 'number' game for the Gophers!

With the three wins, Chatfield is now 8-7, overall, and 7-4 in the TRC.

Tuesday night the guys travel to Fillmore Central and Thursday night

they are in Caledonia.
