The Chatfield girls basketball team members didn't have big numbers to win conference scoring crowns, or anything like that, but they did have great balance, which would give the team a Three Rivers Conference championship and a 1AA-East runner-up trophy.

Leading the way in the scoring column for the Gopher gals was junior Kirsten Keefe. Keefe averaged 10.48 points per game, scoring 262 points in 25 games. Second on the team was Maddie Talamantes, 10.36 ppg (259 points, 25 games). Rounding out the top five: Sidney Irish, 175 points, 19 games, 9.21 ppg; Brook Irish, 146 points, 20 games, 7.30 ppg; and Maddy Larrabee, 176 points, 25 games, 7.04 ppg. Sidney Irish is the only senior, the others are all juniors.

Tops in total rebounds were Brook Irish, 113 (5.65 per game); Keefe, 111 (4.44 per game); Camille Rasmussen, 102 (4.08 rpg); Sydney Gould, 100 (4.00 per game) and Kammer (3.68 per game).

Total steals: Keefe, 91 (3.64 spg); Sidney Irish, 49 (2.58 spg); Talamantes, 45 (1.80 spg); Gould, 40 (1.60 spg) and Kammer, 39 (1.56 spg).

Total assists: Keefe,110 (4.40 per game); Talamantes, 56 (2.24 apg);Megan LaPlante, 47 (1.88 per game); Gould, 37 (1.48 apg); and Larrabee,35 (1.40 apg).

The Chatfield Gopher girls had some great shooting performances this past season. Leading the way was Keefe, 50.25 percent (100/199). She was followed by Sidney Irish, 49.30 percent (70/142); and Talamantes, 48.02 percent (109/227). Also shooting above 40 percent, with a significant number of shots were Brook Irish, 41.54 percent (54/130), Rasmussen, 40.35 percent (46/114), LaPlante, 40.18 percent (45/112) and Gould, 42.24 percent (49/116). A couple gals came off the bench and shot well, and are both returning for next year: Shelby Bernard, 47.62 percent (10/21) and Brooke Irish, 63.64 percent (7/11).

Total three-point, shots-made, leaders were: Keefe, 25; Morgan Henry, 22; S Irish, 19; Talamantes, 16; LaPlante, 12; and Larrabee, 12. Keefe had the best percentage at 37.88 percent.

At the free throw line, Mariah Pederson had the best percentage, connecting on 83.33 percent (10/12). Morgan Henry was next at 81.58 percent (31/38), followed by Gould, 81.25 percent (13/16), Keefe, 75.51 percent (37/49), Sidney Irish, 72.37 percent (18/22), Talamantes, 71.43 percent (25/35). Others shooting above 60 percent included Bernard, 6/9 (66.67 percent), Deanna Danielson, 6/10 (60.00 percent), Cassidy Kloes, 2/2 (100 percent) and Brooke Adler, 3/3(100 percent).

As a team, Chatfield shot 41.38 percent (629/1520) from the field, including 30.00 percent (120/400) from three-point range, and 66.10 percent (273/413) at the charity line. The team averaged 66.04 points/game and gave up 42.28 per game, 34.84 rebounds/game, 17.04 steals per game, and 16.72 apg.

Graduating seniors are Sidney Irish, Mariah Pederson, Camille Rasmussen and Morgan Henry.
