The Chatfield High School golf teams concluded their regular season schedule with a home meet against Southland last Tuesday. They then began postseason play on Thursday with the Three Rivers Conference meet held in Rochester at Eastview Golf Course.

In Tuesday's meet, the lady Gophers earned a victory over Southland by default as the Rebels only posted one score, thereby rendering their score incomplete. The Gophers shot a 221, led by Paige Isensee's 49. She was followed by Morgan Henry, who shot a 51. Pam Lisowski and Makara Fahrenholtz rounded out the qualifying scores for the Gophers, shooting 60 and 61, respectively.

The Gopher boys' team wasn't as fortunate, falling to Southland 195-223. Alex Hompe led Chatfield with a 51. The next lowest round for the Gophers was recorded by Chris Hanson, who shot a 56. Rhett Littrell and Cole Asleson each fired rounds of 58 to conclude the qualifying scores.

The Chatfield girls' team placed fifth in the conference meet, played on the 18-hole par-71 Eastview Golf Course. Isensee had a great round, shooting a 45 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine for a total of 87. The next lowest score for the Gophers came from Henry, who shot a 109. Freshman Makena Musty cracked the top four scores for the first time this spring, firing a 128. The fourth and final qualifying score was recorded by Fahrenholtz, who shot a 134.

On the boys' side, the Gophers finished in 10th place. Hanson shot the low round of the day for Chatfield with his 109. He was followed by Hompe's 112. Asleson fired the next lowest round with a 117. Littrell rounded out the qualifying scores for Chatfield, penciling in a 123 on his scorecard.
