Last Saturday the Chatfield girls traveled to Decorah and competed in their tournament. The gals came out 6-0, and I'm assuming that they won the tournament. Didn't hear from any of the Chatfield 'people', but figure with a 6-0 record, that should be good enough to be the champion. Here are the scores of thematches at Decorah...Chatfield(6-0)@ Decorah Tournament; Central(21-13, 21-7), Osage(21-13, 21-12), Clayton Ridge(21-11, 21-14), Jesup(21-19, 21-18), South Winn.(23-25, 25-21, 15-4), Wapsie Valley(25-17, 25-18).

In a pair of Three Rivers Conference matches last week, the gals were also undefeated, downing St. Charles, 3-1(25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 25-17) and Kingsland, 3-0(25-11, 25-8, 25-12).

Statistics against the Saints were really 'spread out', giving the Gophers a real 'team win'. Here are the highlights in the St. Charles win...Maddy Kammer(15 kills, 2 ½ ace blocks, 8 digs), Kirsten Keefe(11kills, 17/17 serving, 19/19 serve receiving, 17 digs), Alex Duxbury(17/17 serving, 27/28 SR, 24 digs), Brook Irish(7 kills). In the sweep over Kingsland, the gals were 74 of 75 in serving and 24/26 in serve receiving(SR). Here are the highlights against the Knights...G Salisbury(17/17 serving, 3 aces, 23 set assists), Irish(7 kills, 3 ½ ace blocks), Kammer(8/8 serving, 2 aces, 6 kills, 2 ½ ace blocks), Keefe(15/15 serving, 4 aces, 8 kills, 9/10 SR, 14 digs), S Salisbury(8/8 serving, 7 digs), Rasmussen(5/5 serving, 7 kills), and Duxbury(21/22 serving, 6 aces, 9/9 SR, 12 digs).
