Gals down St. Charles; split in Annandale

Last Friday the Chatfield gals picked up a Three Rivers Conference win

over St. Charles, 65-42. The TRC win gives the team a record of 6-3 in the
conference, and are now 8-4 overall.
Leading the way in scoring were senior MaKenzie Miller (21) and
sophomore Kirsten Keefe (20). Miller hit 10 of 15 field goals enroute to
her total and Keefe hit six of 11, including four of six from three-point
range. Keefe also made WEB's Honor Roll with seven steals. Miller led the
team with eight rebounds.
Maddy Kammer came off the bench and led the team with four assists.

In the first round of the Annandale Tournament, Chatfield beat #10
ranked Crookston, 57-50. Balanced scoring and good free throw shooting
enabled the Gopher gals to get the win. Kirsten Keefe led the team with 13
points, followed by MaKenzie Miller (11), Maddie Talamantes (8), Traci
McDonald (7), Candace Gould (5), Camille Rasmussen (4), Brook Irish (4),
Morgan Henry (3) and Maddy Kammer (2).
The team was 18/24 from the free throw line; Talamantes (3/3), McDonald
(1/1), Miller (5/7), Gould (5/7) and Keefe (4/6).

In the championship game at Annandale, Chatfield fell to the #12 ranked
hosts, 55-34. Kirsten Keefe had 19 of the team's 34 points on 5/8 shooting
from the field and 7/9 accuracy at the charity stripe. She was 2/3 from
'long range'. Maddy Kammer (7) and Brook Irish (6) led the team in
rebounding. MaKenzie Miller, who is averaging 14.7 points per game, was
held to one field goal and one free throw. Maddie Talamantes had five
points and a team high three assists.

Monday the girls traveled to Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Thursday they will be
in Lewiston to take on the L-A Cardinals.
