Last week the Chatfield girls basketball team got a pair of Three Rivers

Conference wins over Fillmore Central (62-16) and Caledonia (52-44),

improving their overall record to 13-6, and their TRC record to 11-4, _ game

ahead of Plainview-Elgin-Millville (10-4).

Thirteen different girls scored against the Falcons, led by Morgan

Henry's 14 points. Henry hit four of five three-points, 5/9 overall, pulled

down five rebounds and dished out two assists. MaKenzie Miller was also in

double-digits with 11. She also had a team high eight rebounds. Brook

Irish was 3/3 from the field for six points.

Sidney Irish (15) and Maddie Talamantas (12) led the Gophers in

scoring in the big win over Caledonia. "Sidney Irish had a nice game," said

Coach Brian Baum, "coming up with the 15 points, along with seven rebounds,

three steals and two assists. Talamantas hit three of five 'bombs.'

MaKenzie Miller had nine points on four for five shooting, a team high nine

rebounds, two steals and two assists. "Morgan Henry was a big spark off the

bench," added Coach Baum. Three of her points came on a 'three-point play'

in a 13-2 Chatfield 'run', after Caledonia had taken the lead at 35-34, with

about six minutes to go in the game.

Chatfield did give up 22 offensive boards, something that Coach Baum

said, "can't happen! Our perimeter defense was very good, but had trouble

on the boards."

Kirsten Keefe led the team with six assists and was co-leader with three

steals. Sidney Irish also had three steals.

Tuesday the gals travel to Rushford-Peterson and Friday they are at
