The Gopher golf teams had a pair of meets last week, one against Kingsland at Root River Country Club and one at their home course, Chosen Valley Country Club, against Fillmore Central.

Both the boys' and girls' teams were defeated by Kingsland 236-215 and 258-243, respectively. Individual scores were not available for this meet.

The Gophers didn't have any better luck on Thursday against the Falcons. The girls' team lost 185-238 while the boys' team fell 162-215.

Paige Isensee led the way for the Chatfield girls, shooting a 46. She was followed by Morgan Henry, who penciled in a 55 on her scorecard. Pam Lisowski shot the next lowest round for the Gophers with a 62. Makara Fahrenholtz rounded out the qualifying scores for the Gophers with her 75.

On the boys' side, the Gophers were paced by 52s from Chris Hanson and Alex Hompe. Levi Roline finished just two strokes behind them with a 54. Cole Asleson's 57 was the fourth and final qualifying score for Chatfield.

The Gopher golf teams were scheduled to participate in their final regular season meet of the spring when they welcome Southland to Chosen Valley Country Club. Then, on Thursday, Chatfield will play in the conference meet that is being held at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester.
