Madalynn Kammer(200m, 400m) and Jayme LaPlante(shot put, discus) will take part in two individual events at the 2013 State Track Meet at Hamline University this Friday and Saturday, June 7 and 8. Mariah Bell will also be going to the 'big dance' in the 200m dash. In addition, the girls 4x200 relay (Ashley Baker, Madalyn Kammer, Autum Erickson and Mariah Bell) will be competing.

Kammer took first in both the 200m and 400m dashes. LaPlante won the discus and qualified 'on standard' in the shot put. Bell was second in the 200m, nosing out one of the event's favorites, Jillian Krier(Byron), by .01 of a second. The '4x2' relay took first by nearly one second over a fine Lake City entry.

Results of the meet can be heard on KFIL radio, beginning about 3:30 p.m., both Friday and Saturday.

Mariah Bell, fourth, :51.41), 4x800 relay(Kayla Woltz, Alexandra Duxbury, Karen Gomez, Maddie Talamantes, fourth, 10.02.81), Mikaela Bray(pole vault, 7'8"), and Sydney Gould(discus, 8th, 31'10.75"). BOYS: Christian Bance(800m, sixth, 2:09.14), Alex Haffner(110m hurdles, :17.65), 4x200 relay(Jayme LaPlante, Tyler Wondrow, Christian Bance, Alex Haffner, 1:39.72), Tyler Wondrow(high jump, sixth, 5'9") and Adam Amy(shot put, seventh, 43'10"; discus, seventh, 132'6").

The Chatfield girls were the team runner-up with 87 points, nosing out LaCrescent and Byron, by one point. Plainview-Elgin-Millville won with 135 points.

The Chatfield boys were tied for ninth with 34 points. Byron won the team trophy, scoring 118.5 points. Winona Cotter was the runner-up, 106 points.
