Dana Luiken graduated this spring from Hamline University, compiling some impressive "numbers" while she was a student-athlete

In track, Luiken holds the Hamline records in the pentathalon (indoor), heptathalon (outdoors), 55 hurdles (indoor) and 100 hurdles (outdoor). She has won the pentathalon and heptathaon in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meets and nearly qualified for the "Nationals." She was also a member of the varsity volleyball team for four years.

This past year she was named the Hamline University 2007 Female Athlete of the Year, was named MVP for running in track and won the Misty Bahr Award for Leadership.

Her future plans include student teaching this coming fall at JJ Hill Montesorri School and Murray Junior High. Luiken has a physical education/health major. She also has aspirations of being a college track coach.

Congratulations, Dana, on a great collegiate career!
