down St. Charles In five

Last week the Chatfield Gophers split a pair of Three Rivers Conference matches, losing to the #1 rated team in Class A, Wabasha-Kellogg, 3-0(25-20, 25-11, 25-21) and downing St. Charles in five, 3-2(25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 15-9).

Thursday night the gals host Lewiston-Altura and Saturday they will compete in the Byron Tournament.
Maddy Kammer led the team with eight kills against Wabasha-Kellogg. Three players, Kirsten Keefe, Makenzie Miller and Sheridan Salisbury each had three 'spikes'. Gabrielle Salisbury had eight set assists and Kileigh Dudek was credited with six set assists. Sheridan Salisbury had three kills, no errors, in six attacks, for a hitting efficiency of .500.
Defensively, Kirsten Keefe had 12 digs and was 21/22 in serve receive (SR). Alex Duxbury had 11 digs and 'saved' 20 of 21 serves. Gabrielle Salisbury had 10 digs for the Gophers. Sheridan Salisbury was 4/5 in SR and Camille Rasmussen was 2/2.
Serving; G Salisbury (6/7), Duxbury (10/12), Dudek (9/9), Keefe (7/7), Maddie Talamantes (6/7) and S Salisbury (12/12). Alex, Kileigh and Sheridan each had two aces serves.
In the win over the Saints, Chatfield won the first two sets, and then had to stop St. Charles in the fifth game, to get the win.
Maddy Kammer led the team with 12 kills, but also had 13 hitting errors, for a negative hitting average. Kirsten Keefe had eight kills and hit .292 against the Saints. Freshman Sheridan Salisbury, who's seeing a lot more action at the net, had nine kills and hit .286. Brook Irish also had nine kills for the Lady Gophers.
Defensively, the Gophers were led by Alex Duxbury's 16 digs and 42/48 in SR. Kirsten Keefe had 11 digs and was a perfect 25/25 in serve receive. Maddie Talamantes was also perfect in SR, 7/7, and had 10 digs. Kileigh Dudek had eight digs and led the team with 23 set assists. Gabrielle Salisbury had 21 set assists and six digs.
Top servers for the gals; Talamantes (27/27), Sheridan Salisbury (20/20), Dudek (16/16), Gabrielle Salisbury (14/15) and Keefe (13/14). Talamantes led the team with three ace serves.
Leading in ace blocks were Makenzie Miller (6), Haley Kohlmeyer (4), Brook Irish (3.5) and Maddy Kammer (2.5).
