"We're continuing to show steady improvement, both individually, and as a team," said Coach Chris Frye, "and that's what we're after. We had very nice individual performances across the board, key among them was Christian Bance's 17:40 time, which moved him on to our HONOR ROLL of top-ten times (sixth place). Our goal is to make steady progress as we move toward the championship part of the season in October, and I think we're on track," added Coach Frye.

Kayla Woltz won the Dover-Eyota meet with a time of 16:04. Karen Gomez was third at 16:22. As a team, the gals were second with 71 points. Dover-Eyota was first with 35 points. Eight teams participated in the meet.PEM, Lake City, Rochester Home School, Lewiston-Altura, Lyle/ Pacelli and Wabasha-Kellogg.

Other gals running the 4000 meters, along with their times and finish. Haley Woltz (21, 18:39), Hannah Friedrich (23, 18:54), Mary Simpson (26, 19:18), Madison Larrabee (38, 19:58), GraceAnna Grant (58, 22:28) and Elizabeth Walsh (62, 23:34). 84 gals ran in the varsity/JV meet.

Angela Voigt (32, 19:08) ran the 3200m jr. high race.

Christian Bance was Chatfield's top male runner, sixth place, in 17:40. Coming in second for the Gophers was Justin Friedrich (13, 18:19). other varsity runners; Keagan Clarke (21, 19:46), Dan Narveson (46, 20:54), Kevin Bradt (51, 21:16), Tim Hawkins (61, 21:28), Alex Lien (71, 21:51) and Anthony Voigt (77, 22:14). 104 runners participated in the varsity/JV 5000 meter race.

Nolan Salerno (30, 16:40) and Bennett Gathje (31, 16:42) competed in the two-mile jr. high meet.

Thursday the CC team will travel to Pine Island.
