As a team, Chatfield won the Three Rivers Conference with a perfect

8-0 record, won the Section 1A crown and then capped off the season with a

third place finish at the state tournament.

Individually, eight wrestlers made it to the tournament, with three

of them placing in the top six. Those individuals that qualified for the

'big dance' were Jared Goldsmith (106), Hank Friederichs (120), A.J. Riley

(126), Harvey Friederichs (132), Alex Haffner (138), Ryan Meeker (145), Cody

Bly (170) and Justin Viss (195). Receiving medals at the state tournament

were Hank Friederichs (third), Harvey Friederichs (second) and Justin Viss

(fifth).

Those eight that made it to the state meet, coincidently, also were

selected for the Three Rivers All-Conference team: Jared Goldsmith, Hank

Friederichs, A.J. Riley, Harvey Friederichs, Alex Haffner, Ryan Meeker, Cody

Bly and Justin Viss. Making the Honorable Mention team were Ty Van Sickel,

Tye Bentz, Ethan Wright and Jacob Bleess.

And if that wasn't enough, the Section 1A coaches named Joel Viss,

Coach of the Year, and Travis Bartels, Assistant Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to all the team members, the coaches, and the

Chatfield fans, for a GREAT season.
