Frederick G. "Fred" Jorgensen, 92, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, in Mesquite, Nev., on his way home from Arizona.

He was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Chatfield, to Frederick and Vera (Crowson) Jorgensen. He married Luella Eggers in December 1942 and later divorced. Fred was raised and finished high school in Chatfield and completed two years of college in business management. He owned Fred's Tile Service in Mankato. He moved to Montana and started and owned Montana Terrazzo Company until he retired.

Fred enjoyed fishing in Canada with his brothers, playing golf and playing poker. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a crew chief on a B-26 during World War II. Fred married Yvonne Johnson in July 1982. After retiring, they traveled a few years in their motor home. He and Yvonne spent their summers in Billings and winters in Wellton, Ariz. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and four brothers; his son, Roger Jorgensen and stepdaughter, Robin Smith. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Jorgensen, of Billings; daughters, Gloria (Jon) Steinmetz, of Littleton, Colo., Loretta Kostelecky and Lynette Fox, both of Billings; sons, Fred Jr. (Decora) Jorgensen and Tom (Rose) Jorgensen, both of Billings; stepchildren, Jackie (Wade) Bomer and Fred (Tina) Johnson, both of Billings; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1721 Central Ave., Billings, MT 59102, on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m
