Larry L. Garnatz
Larry L. Garnatz, 51, of Zumbrota, formerly of Wykoff, died on Friday,

Nov. 9, 2012.

Larry L. Garnatz was born Nov. 23, 1960, in Rochester, to Dale and Metta

(Konken) Garnatz. He attended elementary and high school at Wykoff Public

Schools. He then went to Winona State University, in Winona, and received a

B.S. degree in Sociology, Criminal Justice, and a minor in music. He then

moved to the Rochester area where he lived until he was transferred through

work to Cannon Falls. He later moved to Zumbrota and had lived there since


He was a member of United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. He

enjoyed wood working, gardening, general handyman jobs, and deer hunting

with his nephews, nieces, and friends. He was always willing to help. He

loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sisters, Myrna Meyer of Sierra Vista, AZ, and

Lynda (Charles) Stephen of Spring Valley, and one sister-in-law, Mary (Rix)

Garnatz of Chatfield; 10 nieces and nephews; and 21 great nieces and

nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dayle and Veryl;

a sister, Gayle Garnatz; two nieces; and Mary (nee Rix) Garnatz.

Funeral service were held on Friday, Nov. 16, at United Redeemer

Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tom Isaacson officiating. Burial was in St.

John Lutheran Cemetery in Wykoff.

Mahn Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
