Nancy Jean Weldon, 66, of Fountain, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.

She was born May 13, 1947, in Wykoff. Her parents were Paul W. Miller and Marjorie Schmidt. She graduated from Preston High School in 1965.

She was married first to Elwood Brusse and they later divorced. She was then married to George J. Weldon for 20 years before Mr. Weldon died in 2003. She was engaged to Larry Severson of Fountain at the time of her death.

During her life, she lived in Weaverville, Calif., Redding, Calif., Plains, Mont., and Fountain. She held jobs as a telephone operator and real estate agent.

She was a member of Fountain Lutheran Church and served on the Altar Committee. Besides church activities, she participated in bowling, quilting and flower-gardening.

In addition to her her fiance, she is survived by her mother, Marjorie Bremseth of Fountain; a daughter, Christine (Aaron) Hughes of Kalispell, Mont.; step-children George (Lee) Weldon of Missoula, Mont., and Lequita (Rick) Cavill of Thompson Falls, Mont; four step-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert (Dianna) Miller, of Fargo, N.D., Herman (Linda) Miller of Fountain and Gary (Sharon) Miller of Fountain.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Severson, her second husband, George J. Weldon, and her stepfather, Marvin Bremseth.

The funeral was held on Monday at Fountain Lutheran Church.
