Nutritional assistance program for
seniors now available in Chatfield

Through the Commodity Supplemental Food Programs, Channel One is partnering with Help Our Neighbors in Chatfield to provide a 35-pound box of free food, each month, to seniors who meet income guidelines.
The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture.
Call (507) 424-1704 to learn about the qualification guidelines. Seniors, age 60 or older, are eligible.
The distribution center is located at Chatfield United Methodist Church, 124 Winona St. SE, in Chatfield, every third Thursday of the month at 1 p.m.
Program participants receive nutritious food packages meant to supplement the diet. The packages include canned fruits, canned vegetables, juice, milk, cheese, canned meat, peanut butter, cereal, rice or pasta.
