Lanesboro's Holiday Open House, set for this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22, will include many, many events. Celebrating its designation as the "Bed and Breakfast Capital of Minnesota" earlier this year, the weekend will conclude with a flourish during the Lanesboro Inn Christmas Tour held Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Brian Luna, an innkeeper himself at Fillmore House Bed and Breakfast, shared with the city council that as of Nov. 16, nearly 300 tickets already had been sold for the tour.
He said, "Fourteen unique lodging locations are involved. There will be treats and the history of the homes will be shared. Everyone and everything will be dressed for Christmas."
As far as the treats, Luna promised they should be excellent. But those on the tour will just need to stop by each bed and breakfast to check out that aspect themselves.
Tickets run $25 each and will be available Sunday at each participating B&B, or at the Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce or the Cottage House Inn.
People can start wherever they like on the tour. A map is available, plus more, at www.lanesboro.com/inntour/index.html
Luna said, "The numbers expected to come are a little overwhelming, but we're exuberant. It will be fabulous."
