Along the historical downtown stretch of Lanesboro, Forrest and Missy Musselman have created a unique store of art that symbolizes visions which may normally be seen in a barnyard or on a farm.

Fillmore Central band, choir have 'rock star' experiences in Florida
Fillmore Central's band and choir students, along with numerous chaperones and their music instructors, boarded charter buses in the early morning hours of Monday, June 16, to embark on an adventure. After years of fundraising, rehearsals and marching lessons, the students headed south, bound for Walt Disney World in Florida, where the band would march at the Magic Kingdom and the choir would perform in Downtown Disney.

Preston council discusses Anderson lot purchase, updated on Twenty-14 bond
"The Anderson lot sales refer to seven lots in the subdivision located by the golf course. The EDA was instructed by the county that these lots would be coming up for sale through state forfeiture," Cathy Enerson, Preston's economical development authority (EDA) director, announced during the Preston City Council meeting on Monday, July 7.

Since the state funding for the Lanesboro Dam fell through, Mike Bubany updated the Lanesboro City Council on a few options it could pursue for the funding at the regular meeting on Monday, July 7. Unfortunately, none of the options looked promising to the council or beneficial for the city.

Relay For Life team walks to support father, to raise funds for cancer research
July is a month of celebration. One of the biggest holidays in America, the Fourth of July opens out the month. People travel all over the country to attend family reunions. Firework displays may leave a person shaking or half deaf from the sound and appreciating the brilliant colors and patterns lighting up the night sky. That is fitting the day celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Fillmore Central music students return from trip to Disney World
This past week, June 16 to 22, the Fillmore Central Band and Choir traveled to Orlando, Fla., to perform at the Walt Disney World Resort. The marching band performed at the Magic Kindgom during the afternoon of Wednesday, June 18, for an enormous crowd of fans! The choir performed the following day at the beautiful waterfront stage in Downtown Disney.
