Fillmore Central music students return from trip to Disney World
This past week, June 16 to 22, the Fillmore Central Band and Choir traveled to Orlando, Fla., to perform at the Walt Disney World Resort. The marching band performed at the Magic Kindgom during the afternoon of Wednesday, June 18, for an enormous crowd of fans! The choir performed the following day at the beautiful waterfront stage in Downtown Disney.

Mabel-Canton board approves new budget with staff recommended cuts
The budget was the number one topic on the minds of Mabel-Canton School Board members and administration during their meeting on Tuesday evening, June 17. The board discussed and approved the preliminary 2014-15 budget, reviewed the 2013-14 budget and also discussed a district policy regarding pupil transportation.
