Elementary students in kindergarten through sixth grade gathered in the gymnasium to present their program, "It's Easy Being Green." The focus of the evening was being "green" with students teaching the audience ways to recycle, reuse and be kind to the earth. Many of the children wore pieces of green clothing to go along with the theme.
The students were so enthusiastic about their singing and the message that the first-grade students temporarily blew out the speakers when they finished up the song "Turn It Off!"
The gymnasium was packed with parents, siblings, grandparents and others for the children's performance. Guests were also treated to an art show afterwards, showcasing the many talents of the elementary students.
