Installation Steps
Start by delineating the area you wish to edge. This can be done using chalk or a hose. Following this, dig a trench about 1/3 the height of the log and slightly wider than its diameter.
Logs are then vertically placed in the trench, and can be secured using a mallet. Validation of their vertical alignment can be achieved using a spirit level or plumb line. Secure the logs further by screwing them into place or using metal supports. Alternatively, place anchor stakes every 30cm for added stability.
Once the logs are secure, backfill the trench with soil and compact it down.

- Pine tar is another effective option for safeguarding against moisture.
- If logs happen to split, treat them with linseed oil or kitchen oil after sanding with coarse-grade sandpaper.
