Senior Carter Rindels had one of his better games this season, but it wasn't enough to carry the Falcons to a win against Kingsland Friday at Kingsland.

Rindels hit five of seven shots from the field and four of six from the line, leading the team in scoring with 14 points. He also tied for the team high in rebounds with eight. Logan Masters had 13 against Kingsland, including eight-for-eight from the free throw line. Nick Powell had nine points and Quentin Case added seven in the TRC loss.
Also getting into the scoring column for the Falcons were Ascher Ostrom (2), Jordan Miller (2), Collin Bennet (5) and Kiel Larson (1). The Falcons lost 57-53, ending the regular season 1-1 with the Knights.
"We couldn't overcome a first 30 minutes of poor play," said coach Aaron Mensink. "Our comeback fell a bit short."
Kingsland led 35-26 at the half and extended the lead to 51-36 before Fillmore Central came back with an 11-0 run to tighten the game that ended 57-53.
Fillmore Central vs. Chatfield
Seniors Powell scored 18 points and Case had 14 in the 82-62 loss to Chatfield. They were also 1-2 in rebounding for the Falcons, pulling down nine and six, respectively. Ten of Powell's points came at the free throw line, as he converted 10 of 13. Another senior, Masters, had a good game too, scoring eight points, pulling down three rebounds, while adding two steals and two assists.
"Really a closer game than the score indicates," said Mensink. "They were hot from the outside and we didn't defend the three-point shot."
Also scoring against the Gophers were Bennett (6), Miller (5), Rindels (2), Nick Mensink (5) and Ostrom (4).
This week the guys have games with Chatfield (Tuesday), Lanesboro (Thursday) and Rushford-Peterson (Friday). Monday, the Falcons take on Plainview-Elgin-Millville at home.
