Pack your flannel and woolen socks...deer camp opens this weekend! Deer camp in Escanaba, that is Olde Opera House invites you to attend "Escanaba in da Moonlight" by Jeff Daniels opening this Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. "It has been a blast to do a show that doesn't take itself too seriously," remarked show director Sarah Schroeder. "It doesn't make you think, just laugh. To paraphrase an early review of this show, it 'Challenges what anyone might consider 'legitimate' theatre.' Needless to say, it is really different from your typical Ye Olde Opera House show. Even if you think theater isn't your thing, give this one a shot. I can guarantee you will be laughing about this show for a long time." Pictured are Steve Kemp as Albert Soady, Mark Schroeder as Remnar Soady, Tyler Engen as Reuben Soady, and David Storlie as Da Jimmer.

This weekend there is also a matinee performance on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2:30 p.m. The fun continues next weekend with performances on Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and can be purchased at the door or reserved ahead of time by calling (507) 498-5859.
