The Mabel-Canton High School held its yearly 90 Club program on Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the high school gym.

The speaker this year at the program was 1995 graduate Trevor Narum. After graduating from Mabel-Canton, Narum received a bachelor's and a master's degree in education from Winona State University. Currently, he teaches fourth grade in Lake City and coaches football.

During his speech, Narum talked to the students about what life was like in 1995 when students didn't have cell phones or the internet. He also talked about a few points that he believes are important in life to follow such as taking a risk, not settling for being mediocre, working hard in life and surrounding oneself with good people.

The 90 Club was created to recognize students in grades eight through 12 that have a prior yearly cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better with no grade below a 1.67 (C-). Students who have accomplished this are recognized at the program each year and receive a pin. Students that received an academic letter for being on the 90 Club for at least three years were also recognized.
