Golf boys fall to Falcons, Trojans

On Monday, April 21, the Caledonia/Spring Grove boys golf team hosted critical conference double dual matches with Rushford-Peterson and Fillmore Central. The boys went 0-3 for the week with a rematch the next day at Fillmore Central.

C/SG vs. R-P and FC
Both visiting team scores were losses for the hosts as R-P carded a 172, FC a 175, and C/SG 187. The Trojans and Falcons were not competing against each other.
Rushford-Peterson's Charlie Krambeer medaled with a round of 38, while Jordan Miller of FC medaled the concurrent match with C/SG, bringing in a 41.
Devin Schiltz shot the low round for the Warriors, carding a 42. Drew Stemper (47), Cody Breeser (50), and Symon Ely (50) rounded out the varsity scorecard. Carson Bullerman and Rodney Tweito also played for the varsity. JV competitors included Logan Larson and Mick Bullerman.
C/SG at Fillmore Central
FC and C/SG met the following afternoon at Harmony, where the Falcons won, 183-190. Miller was meet medalist again at 40.
Ely shot a very respectable 43 for the Warriors, carding the second-lowest round overall. Schiltz shot 47 while Stemper (51) and Breeser (52) completed the varsity score. Carson Bullerman and Tweito also played on the varsity round.
There were enough JV entrants for team scoring on Tuesday, and FC won that match 208-218.
Warrior Isaak Solum carded a 44 medaling for the JV. He was joined by Larry Schulte (53), Zach Sanness (57) and Riley Johnson (64).
"It was nice to see Symon and Isaak shoot good scores in Harmony," C/SG coach Jeremy Leis said.
Fillmore (12-7, 3-0 TRC) ended the week atop the TRC South standings with R-P (12-9, 3-1 TRC) second. C/SG slipped into fourth place 8-14, 2-3 TRC).
