On June 1, Upper Iowa Speedway (UIS) in Decorah, Iowa, held race number three of the 2013 season, as five classes tore up the track. A special appearance by the Outlaw Mini-Mods/North Iowa Vintage cars meant that the 600 Mod-lites did not compete in their weekly points series race. However the familiar Hornets, Hobby Stocks, Stock Cars and B-Mods classes all took to the track.

The Outlaw Mini-Mods feature was won by Myron Pool of Owatonna. Bill Sprung of Brownsdale took second followed by Jason Christiansen of Owatonna, Jayden Larson of Mankato, Aaron Fullerton of Welcome, Jason Nesteby of Hudson, Iowa, and Tyler Erdahl of Lawler, Iowa, rounded out the top seven spots.

A dozen four-cylinder Hornets ran in their feature. Ryan Ayers of Decorah led pole to pole, getting his first UIS win of the season. Paul Seabrooke of Elgin, Iowa, took second. Harmony's Jay Mensink took third followed by John LeJeune of La Crosse, Wis., Luke Onstad of Spring Grove and Steve McAllen of Iowa. Eighth-grader Breanna Lee of Mabel took 10th.

Three Decorah drivers topped the Hobby Stocks feature race with Adam Cline in first, Steve Larson second and Joshua Ludeking third. The next three spots were held down by Cresco natives. Steve Holthaus took fourth followed by Andy Stinson and Scott Spilde. Chad Olson of Harmony took 10th, followed by Adam Sveen of Lanesboro. Brandon Ranzenberger of Brownsville finished 15th, earning 62 points in the weekly points series.

Junior Boyer of Calmar, Iowa, was fourth followed by Dan Hovden of Decorah. Brian Schrage of Cresco, Iowa, took sixth followed by Neil Thesing of Oakdale and Taylor Knutson of Caledonia. Cole Konkel of Caledonia finished in 14th while Jon VanMinsel of Spring Grove took 16th after crashing into Kyle Anderson and trashing his radiator for the night.

Stock Cars found Kyle Falck of Decorah winning 100 points with the drop of the checkered flag. Lynn Panos of Calmar took second, followed by Danny Sacquitne of Decorah, Dillon Anderson of Iowa, and Mitch Hovden of Decorah.

Dan Jones of Waterville, Iowa, took sixth with his hand-controlled stock. Kevin Dolan and Bryan Webb, both of Decorah, took the next two spots in that order. Pete Solum of Spring Grove grabbed ninth while Caledonia drivers Jordan Becker and Jake Lampert were 12th and 14th respectively.
