Erland Julson, 80, of Grand Meadow

Erland J. Julson, 80, of Grand Meadow and formerly of Stewartville and Rochester, died Friday morning, Nov. 23, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center, where he had resided for about 1-1/2 years.
Erland James Julson was born July 7, 1932, in Clayton Township, Mower County, to Elgar and Virginia (Wadsworth) Julson. He attended country schools through the eighth grade and was married and divorced. He worked as a farm laborer for area farmers and for Libby's and Seneca Foods in Rochester. He enjoyed fishing, going to farm shows, canning and pickling, visiting and having a good meal.
He is survived by three brothers, Lyle (Robbie) Julson, Roger Julson and Milo Julson, all of Grand Meadow; a sister, Hazel Julson of Austin, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Doris and Evelyn, and two brothers, Rolland and Kenneth.
A visitation was held at Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow and a private family burial took place in the Grand Meadow Cemetery. No other services are planned.
