Federal judge to be named
to Kingsland's Wall of Honor

Judge Donavon Frank, a federal district judge in the United States District Court in Minnesota, has been selected to be honored as Kingsland's Wall of Honor nominee for 2012.
He is a 1969 graduate of Spring Valley High School. Frank enrolled at Luther College in Decorah, graduating magna cum laude in 1973 as a political science major. Then he studied law at Hamline Law School and received a juris doctorate, also graduating magna cum laude in 1977.
He started his career in law serving eight years as the assistant St. Louis County attorney in northern Minnesota. In 1985 he was appointed to the state district court bench and served as the chief judge of the sixteen-judge Sixth Judicial District from 1991 to 1996. In 1998 he was appointed as a federal district judge in the United States District Court in Minnesota. He is chambered in St. Paul.
Frank will be honored in a Wall of Honor ceremony on Friday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Kingsland High School.
